The Meaning Behind the Name
"Geneva Cole" is more than a name. My grandmother, Geneva, loved to write. It was how she moved through life, capturing thoughts, moments, and everything in between.
I started journaling in my pre-teen years, and it has been something I have leaned on through different seasons of life. It wasn't about doing it "right" or "perfect", it was just about having somewhere to put my thoughts.
"Cole" actually comes from my brother. When we were kids, he couldn't quite say my name, and it stuck.
And "Binding" is the craft itself, the process of bringing pages together into something lasting.
I first discovered bookbinding while studying photography (BFA) at the University of Texas at Arlington. Grateful I decided to check out what bookbinding was all about.
By day, I'm a Human Resources professional with over 20 years of experience. Outside of that, you'll usually find me in the gym, at an art or music festival, traveling and trying out new food, or doing GCB things.
Life is messy and exciting. Journaling has helped me process, heal, remember, and figure things out when I didn't have clear answers.
That's really what I hope these books become for you. To encourage and empower you to embrace the journey of self-discovery, healing, and creativity, one page at a time.
At the end of the day, these aren't just journals. They're the story of you.
